Jersey Time

Much to the dismay of my wife, I have been getting very eager for baseball season to start again. Amidst endless rumors and speculation of Johan Santana coming to queens another thing has spurned me on. In the Manhattan Mall, where I walk through everyday to get to the subway there is a Mets store that I have been frequenting for the couple of years it has been open. But now a stupid JC Penney is moving in and kicking it and the sweet smoothie place that gave me samples every day after work out on the street. So unfortunate as this is for me buying a shirt or hat or something on the way to Shea this season, they also have been having amazing clearance sales on all of the good stuff inside 50% or more off on all the stuff that I wanted anyways. It started out small for me, just buying a nice blue hoodie and an Endy Chavez shirt, it soon got out of hand. Next time I went in I took the leap with an authentic David Wright bp jersey and a ridiculous deal on an authentic Paul LoDuca away jersey. Now LoDuca is no longer on the team and his name has been tainted with the release of the Mitchell report this winter now, but I finally have a gray road jersey and got it for the ridiculous price of $25 (these jerseys cost upwards of $240 regularly). Of course I couldn't stop there so I also got Starla a replica kids/girls Jose Reyes jersey to wear to games this summer. But my crown jewell was still waiting for me. After another week or so of constant begging my wife, she finally gave up and let me buy it. Now this one is the authentic Billy Wagner white jersey. This is one I have been wanting for a while for several reasons: One, he is one of the most dominant closers in the game, approaching 400 saves and a possible future HOF candidate. Two, he is wearing my lucky number 13, which I have always wanted on a jersey and my only other option was a Yankees A-Rod one, which is not happening. Now to complete everything, I bought the commemorative patch the players will be wearing this summer in honor of the last year of Shea Stadium, which is very important to Mets and Beatles history, of course. So I got that and Starla sewed it on for me this weekend. Now, I just have 2 more months until the first pitch is thrown. But when it is, I will be sitting there in Shea (hopefully watching Santana) with some pretty sweet gear...

One Week

So next Saturday is my screen printing class that my wonderful wife got me for Christmas. I have to figure out what design I am going to work with for the class, it is very intimidating having to pick one thing. I'm sure I will leave it to the last possible minute like I do everything else though.

tsk tsk tsk

Ok, so i have been extremely bad about consistently posting for a while so I am going to just start writing things in my head. Like now my anger at stupid technology. Now don't get me wrong anyone who knows me know I love technology, with my iPod Touch and my laptop and my HDTV. But anyway on Sunday Starla and I got done playing some Rock Band and I turned it over to watch the AFC Championship game. Next thing I know it looks like someone is pressing a button on my tv and a constant dialog box is up on my screen. A box that perfectly blocks out almost all of the action of a football game. We called Samsung and Best Buy and can't get anyone out to look at it for a week and a half. Ugh, its just a stupid problem and doesn't make any sense. old tvs never did ridiculous stuff like that. I feel like I am turning into Andy Rooney...

Wyoming Christmas

So we just got back from our trip to Wyoming. It was nice to be back for a while but good to be back home now. Starla got me an awesome gold Zelda themed DS for Christmas which rules. I also got to see my first game at Invesco Field in Denver! David and I got great seats 20 rows up on the 50 yard line and the ladies sat up in a higher section. I don't really have anything else to say though. Happy New Year. Pics.
