Wicket

Today we had to have our sugar glider, Wicket put to sleep. We have had him for nine years now, but he recently got a tumor that made him really sick. We got him back in Denver when Starla was working at a pet store. They got this new animal in and Star just fell in love with him and had to have him. When we moved to NYC, we had to leave him with my parents in Wyoming. The next time we went back to Casper, my mom sewed me up a little pouch and I smuggled him in my pants on the airplane back. This was pre 9-11 so security wasn't quite as nuts as it is now, but still I could probably have gotten in quite a bit of trouble from it. Anyways, it is sad when pets die... :(

Rock Band

So last weekend I picked up the new "band simulator" (video game) Rock Band from Best Buy. This week we had our first chance to rock out with the full four players on it and it was quite awesome. Out lineup was me on guitar, star on drums, erik on vocals, and travis on bass. we rocked for several hours, until of course out downstairs neighbors came up and asked us to keep it down just after midnight. However unrockstar of us though, we stopped then. I came up with our band's name "Desmond's Pretty Face" (spot the beatles reference). Look out for us though, we might be coming to your city soon...

Christmas Time

Do now that it is December, it is ok to start Christmas festivities. I really hate hearing Christmas music and seeing decorations before December. After Thanksgiving I guess is a gray area, but the whole after Haloween Christmas stuff is just ridiculous. Anyways, we bought a new tree tonight at Target and put it up. We have had our other one since we moved to nyc eight years ago and it was time for a new one. Star and I will actually be going back to Wyoming for Christmas this year for the first time in a long time too so that is nice I reckon. At least there will probably be snow there. It never seems to snow here until January, and by the time it comes you don't want it any more. But a white Christmas, that is the best.
