Wow...

Well this is the first time I've written about it on here but I am as most know a die hard Denver Bronco fan. Today we had the victory, a 14 point lead with 5 min left to go. Then, we blew it. Blew it big. Stupid penalties, stupid plays just stupid football. Ugh, I hate sports. This one hurts and pretty much extinguishes any playoff hope that was lingering. Ugh...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nothing like Thanksgiving for eating way too much and watching football, now that is a holiday. We ordered a cajun fried turkey from a place in Brooklyn that is supposed to be amazing, so I am excited about that. We also have tons of desserts with homemade flan, pumpkin pie, cranberry walnut pie, and chocolate bourbon pecan pie! A bit too much, maybe but there is always next week to eat healthy. Our friends Louis and Juan are coming over to eat and play some games, so it should be fun.

Site Updates

So I finally got around to posting some new work on my proper website. I put the new DWF stuff up, new Bachelor Gulch stuff and my new Johnny Sketch poster. I have been working on a few things for a long time now and it is nice that some of it is starting to be finished.

Do the Wright Thing

So the DWF Gala was this last Thursday night. Why it was on Thursday, I'm not sure. It was much better suited for a Friday or Saturday, like last year. But anyways, we had a great time and I got to wear my fancy Shea stadium jacket, this time complete with Wells Fargo badge. We also scored a bunch of sweet free swag too, which is always fun. The one not so great part was Benji and Joel Madden of "Good Charlotte". Really? such a lame band and they sat their with their wannabe hipster fedoras and sang bad songs with an acoustic guitar. Still, I guess better than Nick Lachey from last year though.

I finally got to get my picture taken with David Wright himself, he was nice and courteous and I told him I designed the poster and he said "Great Job!" but I don't think he knew what I was talking about. Before the event, I went up to hard rock to hang the rock stars we cut out of foam core above the auction tables, they looked pretty good hanging up there although I'm not sure how many people even noticed. One of my posters from last year was auctioned off for like $400 though, so that is cool. Here is a link to more photos.

Sketch It Good.

So it's been a busy few weeks here for me. One of my projects I have been working on is an album cover for friend from New Orleans, Andre's band. The album comes out next year I believe in January. It was a nice change of pace to do something like this and I am happy with how it turned out. This week is a big week also with the David Wright gala on thursday night at Hard Rock in Times Square. I will post pics of the gala when I take them. I will also post all the cool designs we did once they are out there. For now though you can go to the foundations' website and take the rock star quiz that we made. And no, of course I had nothing to do with this site design, although I hope to redesign it at some point.

Mountainous Zone

So things are going pretty well. Been really busy with getting all the new Bachelor Gulch work done. We are refreshing all the collateral from a couple years ago and it needs to be done by ski season, so it is a quick turnaround. It's kind of fun taking a few months work and condensing it all into one month though. I also have fab faux this weekend recreating Sgt. Pepper in it's entirety at Queens College. They always are the best shows especially for the Beatle obsessed, such as myself.
