Last night we went to the David Wright Foundation "Las Vegas Night" event held at Breakwater's in the South Street Seaport. My daylong obsession with the intriguing "grilling station" listed on the invite was worth the trouble alone. It featured skewered chicken, steak, salmon with scallops and very unnecessary veggies all with their own complimentary dipping sauce. Plus a bunch of semi-free roulette, craps, blackjack and poker all for charity of course.

We got the chance to meet Mets GM Omar Maniya as well as a few Mets players including rookie phenom pitcher Joe Smith and NL April pitcher of the month, John Maine. Good fun though for a Mets fan. Now if they can just jump out of their slump in time for the subway series in Yankee stadium this weekend. My wonderful friend and great printer Frank Aresta from Master Printing in Carlsdadt, NJ secured tickets for Sunday's game for myself and Suzi. Go Frank!
